Jonathan Théorêt headed the Groupe de Recommandations et d’Actions pour un Meilleur Environnement (GRAME) from 2008 to 2020. With a degree in management, he co-authored the book Énergies renouvelables, Mythes et Obstacles, and was a regular speaker at the Régie de l’énergie du Québec. He was also manager and founder of an ecobuilding condominium, the Regroupement de Lachine, and coordinator of numerous research, greening and environmental education projects. Since 2020, Mr. Théorêt has been Division Manager – Transportation, Energy and Buildings at the City of Montréal’s Bureau de la transition écologique et de la résilience, where his team works to reduce GHG emissions in the community. In particular, he led the Road map for zero-emissions buildings by 2040 in Montréal and the development of the resulting municipal bylaws.
