Jean-François Béland

Jean-François Béland has held the position of Vice-President of Ressources Québec for Investissement Québec since 2021.

From 2015 to 2021, he was Vice-President of Strategy and Corporate Affairs at General Fusion Inc. in Vancouver, British Columbia. He also worked, from 2007 to 2015, at AREVA S.A., in Paris and Toronto, notably as Executive Vice-President of AREVA Canada inc. Prior to his time in industry, he worked in the public service of Canada and in the Office of the Prime Minister of Canada, as a policy advisor on governance issues and Treasury Board.

Mr. Béland is a graduate of Université de Montréal (B.Sc.), École nationale d’administration publique (M.A.P. and diploma of advanced studies specialized in public administration), École des hautes études commerciales (diploma of advanced studies specialized in management), Bordeaux École de Management (M.B.A.), Université Paris IX Dauphine (M.Sc., strategic management) and the University of British Columbia (certificate in project management). In 2014, he successfully completed the Senior Nuclear Plant Management Course (SNPM).
Jean-François Béland is a Chevalier of the Ordre national de la Légion d’honneur de France and a member of the Advisory Council of Concordia University’s Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science. He also sits on the Board of Directors of the Fondation du Collège de Montréal as an administrator.
