Since 2021, the government of Québec, in collaboration with the province’s university network, organizes the Rendez-vous de la connaissance en aménagement forestier durable, a series of virtual meetings in French to transfer scientific knowledge on sustainable forest management. On November 25, 2025, the webinar focused on research initiatives on assisted migration of forest tree species. Climate change is profoundly altering forest dynamics. New and innovative silvicultural approaches are needed to adapt our forests to new conditions. This Rendez-vous highlighted several research initiatives in eastern Canada on the topic of assisted migration of forest tree species.
