Isabelle Ménard graduated with a bachelor's degree in Natural and Managed Habitats (B. Sc. A., 2016), a master's degree in Forest Sciences (M. Sc., 2019) and a doctorate in Forest Sciences (Ph.D., 2022) from Laval University . She has been a forest engineer since 2022. During her master's and doctoral studies, Isabelle’s research focused on modeling the impact of silviculture and climate change on the forest carbon cycle. From 2021 to 2024, she held the positions of analyst and scientific advisor on climate change at the Direction de l’aménagement et de l’environnement forestiers at the Ministère des Ressources naturelles et des Forêts (MNRF). In 2024, Isabelle joined the MRNF’s Direction de la recherche forestière as a research scientist in climate change adaptation silviculture. Her research interests include silvicultural scenarios that promote forest resistance, resilience, and transition based on their vulnerability to global changes.
